Surfer catching Lightray

Surfer is in Green Lantern shoes and have to catch Lightray who is carrying High Father from the beams. Surfer has to catch him and then carry him safely away from the beams. Can he achieve this ft and if so, would it be better than the Lantern or worse?

He can't. Lightray was at the end of the universe and Surfer has admitted and shown that he has never gone that far.

I feel Surfer could do it.

Surfer can. And so can a GL prior to this showing.
