It doesnt matter if someone's attacks are predictable if you are too slow to see them. The Speed Demon fight was terribly written PIS.

Wolverine putting his elbow out in slow mo to tag SD would have prompted SD to simply move out of the way. SD's reflexes cant be slower than his speed because then he wouldnt be able to handle his speed and just run into everything.

The only way that fight works is if speed demon was only marginally faster than logan. Like a fast boxer vs slow boxer situation.

But wolverine implied he could barely see SD and put out an elbow in the hopes that he would hit SD based on his predictable attack pattern thus far.

oh i agree, just going by the way the fight has been explained. in reality, speed differences of this level should never be able to be overcome. but we can't ignore every showing of speedsters getting hit, so.... /shrug

It's why the forum has a no PIS rule - the fact that it's 95% of speedsters showings is just the way the medium works. We're not writing stories on the forum, where we need to keep it competitive.

Both Spiderman and Cap see bullets at a standstill. Don't think anyone here would consider either speedsters.

I've shown him scans of Superman, as Clark Kent, overcoming time dilation where everyones slowed to a statue, and days and nights pass in seconds, and he kept going on about "combat speed" or some shit. As if it only counts if they hit someone.

Remember, Gambit and Spider-Man did pretty much the same thing to Quicksilver - worked just as good, if not better.
