Cop fatally shoots man who attacked him, pulled object from officer’s utility belt

Having read the account of what apparently happened, IMO this was justified. What do others think?

Attack a police officer and your going to get lead, tough shit thug. Try not acting like a savage if you don't want to get shot.

Still the cop shouldn't allow that emo kid to grab his belt so easily and maybe 7 shots a bit excessive, but I'm glad the officer was okay.

Anyone know the story of the emo kid? Was he disabled or just a punk who thinks its okay nowadays to resist a cop like every black criminal does?

How does getting shot in the body cause instant death like that

do we need a thread for every police shooting, or just the ones that support OP's confirmation bias?

This happened where I live, I have been to that 7/11 several times.

Honestly, I wonder why he didn't just shoot him in the knee or hand or whatever. Avoid lethal force and arrest him and all. Yeah, I know the dude assaulted the officer, but I feel lethal force could've been avoided here.
