yeah and ds dropped that bit about 30m/s 😂 but yeah, holding drafts hostage and not taking part is a total a$$hole move. it's not like you had only 1 day to do this--you've had several. loads of time for life AND a post. and ds is right about wasting characters on something no longer relevant. a$$holish all around.

Understood, and agreed. Drop-outs have always plagued tourneys, so I'm not sure there's a solution here, but I feel for you. I'd be cool allowing revisions to writeups based on drop-outs, but that would be Id's call.

Although, as I've said, I had a section on Carver, it's drawn on long enough as it is what with all the extensions.

Just going to point out three things:

1. Not the first time Carv has pulled shenanigans like this
2. A vacation? Cool. Spur of the moment vacations which have had zero planning and came like a surprise bolt out of the blue are always the best, tbh.
3. Instead of posting so often in the anime forum, dedicating that time and energy to the post (so still being on KMC; not saying he had to ignore his kid or whatever) would've been nice.

Lol. Well I've been chatting to a number of people both on and off my team, on the understanding that I had submitted, and thus, was unable to do anything with any information they gave me in confidence.

So I won't rewrite.

i was really close to taking deadman. lol etrigan was another one i nearly took.

Early on, I was going to take Cassandra Nova and just mind**** and/or play hide & seek for the win. But that was before other telepaths were taken. She only would have been viable after the first half dozen picks or so.

I was always looking to dip down into the tiers for a sneaky pick, though. Imo, Dr. Strange would have rolled this fight, but my picking him briefly was always likely to be temporary. I wanted the challenge of NOT having a high herald, or even mid herald. Mimic is a risk, certainly, but I like my plan.

Gun to my head, needing to win the match, I'd swap back to Strange tbh. But there are multiple paths to victory, and that would have been one of the more boring to me. And I wanted leo to take Deadman. Woulda been hilarious.

Meggan. Magik. Animal Man. Also considered Spartan w/ Void.

I also know Blair's idea. It would have boned a ton of people in the fight, but I think I would have seen it coming (it's a character I'm quite familiar with), and would have drafted accordingly.

Lol. But I'll side with Abhi here; GLs are Swiss Army Knives in tourney formats. If you're familiar with Hal and/or Kyle, they make a lot of sense. Even my boy Alan doesn't have the versatility feats to make as much sense, despite likely having the most overall power.
