Not so. It took awhile, and many outlets remained mum.
Everyone knows Hollywood is rife with sexual abuse/sexual favors for caresr advancement, but this is one of those things we usually ignore until/unless it's staring us in the face to the point of demanding a response..
One of the most disturbing conversations I've ever had is with a guy who works cameras in Hollywood.. We were talking about the casting couch, and especially its use with minors and parents who push their kids on to it if it makes them a star, and his response was essentially "Yeah, it happens. Where does it not?"
Not in so many words, but that was the jist of it.
Like that makes it allright.

There were enough conservatives willing to overlook the allegations of Trump's sexual misconduct to grant him the oval office. 👇
Though I don't really know how well-corroborated the Trump allegations are compared to the Weinstein ones.
