Systemic examples of Racism and Sexism

Can anyone provide examples of systemic racism or sexism in the United States? Let's be honest and open-minded. Please refrain from sarcasm and name calling. Let's really talk about the issues

Is it not a system that can favor a person based on race? A system endorsed by the government.

I see. it's a government system that endorses preferential treatment of a certain race.

yes, that would be systemic racism

What's your definition of racism and sexism? That's ultimately the starting point of the argument.

For example, if you think racism is the belief that one race is superior to another, then affirmative action doesn't qualify as racist. If you consider that racism consist in simply separating populations in ethnic groups for any purpose, then many artistic representations would fit the bill.

Unless you work for the Clinton Foundation, then it exists.

.....Is NOT
But I guess denying a person goods or services simply because of their "race" or gender is either perfectly fine with you or you are in total denial that such things has and do happen....

Given the history of our country it's sad you would "go there"

But to the OP....teaching directly and indirectly that only Europeans therefore "whites" have positively impacted western society. I mean to ram down our throats that ancient Egyptians were "white" is just all kind of messed up.

Denying blacks mortgages in the early days of 'suburban" homes. When I get home I will detailed this practice and explain how thousands of black families were denied these low cost opportunities which later turned into "gold mines" for the families that were able to acquire these homes and thereby establish for generations wealth and future prosperity.

The fact that we have to have rules and regulations to "favor specific genders and or "races" should be telling enough.

Affirmative action

The wage gap (in isolated incidences). My school lost a lawsuit because of this and almost went under due to the several million dollar payout.

so these people that go around complaining about racism and sexism...what do they think when facts are presented to the contrary? do they just want to live a lie? do they really just want to FEEL bad?

They've either been practically brainwashed into thinking this shit and would feel guilty to not agree with it, want to abdicate responsibility for their own failures, fail to draw the distinction between statistical inequity and systemic barriers to success, want an excuse to seek other people's property or opportunities, etc.

This. Plus things like gender and race quotas and such that you find in some Western nations.
