Longevity in no way denotes superiority. We clearly see Snoke already succeed where Palpatine failed. Snoke seduced Ben Solo into killing his father whereas he failed in convincing Anakin to let him kill his son. Let's see how this plays out because I've said from the start Snoke will be the biggest bad of Star Wars. 🙂

I wonder if the trailer gives us some sense of chronology: Luke and Rey train, she is discovered by Kylo and the First Order and is abducted or leaves with them voluntarily, and is taken back to Snoke.

Poe and Phasma look like they're battling inside Snoke's flagship - it's supposedly a mobile space foundry - so the Resistance presumably infiltrates to rescue her?
