I really don't know how Cyclops is supposed to win unless it's an open field or something.

How would Carnage stand up to taking direct blasts from Scott?

Stand up just fine I'd imagine. Even cykes get off my lawn would only put him down for a little while.

It would hurt him for sure, maybe even a point blank would tko him. But tlremember, Carnage has invisibility and ranged weapons as well an if he can tag Peter, Scott has little to no chance if surviving a prolonged battle with Carnage.

Best case scenario for Scott, open field at football length away, take the visor off and play the staring game.

Even lesser blasts could injure or KO him. I'd take carnage for the majority as he is many times faster/stronger/durable...but it's not that easy.
