Not according to him and Jensen and those running the CW. They were told they could do it for as long as they wanted is what he said. Now clearly that is hyperbole, if ratings fell low enough the show would end whether Jared and Jensen want it or not.
However, it's clear from the way they have spoken that they made the decision to walk away it wasn't the network telling them it was time to hang it up.
Hell they are so fond of the guys they greenlit some shitty Walker show for Jared that nobody wanted.
I wonder if he chose Walker just so he would have an excuse to film in Texas, his home state?
