Supernatural Season 13

Oh god that moment in the Scooby episode when

Spoiler:
the Winchesters convince the Scooby Gang monsters are real. The result of this is them having a massive existential crisis. Fred feeling like he wasted years chasing masked crooks, Velma using herself as a verbal punching bag, Daphne grasping the concept of an afterlife and wondering if she's going to Hell (WTF), and Shaggy & Scooby....well, nothing. They already believed in that stuff so nothing new to them lol

Yeah seeing the scoobies have a

Spoiler:
nervous breakdown
was hilarious. This episode hit all the right notes.

Velma and Sam at the end were funny too. I was surprised they never made any jokes about her being a lesbian lol.

Okay, so how the fook did they manage to

Spoiler:
actually capture Gabriel way back when? Even after apparently juicing on his grace for years, Asmodeus still got killed embarrassingly easily once Gabe got serious. So, how did demon plebs get the drop on him?

The only thing I can think of is he weakened himself in his stunt against Lucifer. Maybe he powered completely down to avoid detection and they chained him by surprise?

That, or the demons disguised themselves as pornstars. There has to be something though. Because no way are a bunch of mook demons, led by evil Colonel Sanders, taking a prime Gabriel in a fair fight.

This season has been one of the best seasons in many years. Top notch.

What is with Gabriel though? Damn. Lucifer was locked away for many thousands of years and he didn't come out of it all whiny and sitting in a corner. Gabriel, at best, spent like 6 years captive lol. 6 years of torture vs thousands in a box.

He's also kind of a dick for faking his death the way he did lol.

I mean, if you want to take grace from a tortured angel, that has nowhere to go, and is weeping in a corner crying.. why not just take Michaels.

Also lol@ the angels in the apocalypse world dressed in military gear wearing kneepads.

How the hell did the weakest Prince of Hell even catch an arch angel?

Though opening up the cage to find Michael would be difficult.

Yes, IIRC, Rowena is the only one left who still has that knowledge. It's the whole reason Lucifer tried to wipe her out.

On a related note, I legit lol'd when she tried to

Spoiler:
attack Death in the latest episode. I know she got her full mojo back, but Death is a friggin' abstract entity who's supposed to be a peer to God and Amara.

So has this season managed to do anything they haven't already done (to death) in the previous seasons?

Lol@ Asmodeus hurling some sort of Naruto chakra blast at Gabriel.

Most of the stuff has been done before, though they are doing it better this season than in the past. Though one unique thing so far is going to other universes. The closest we've come to that is when Sam and Dean got transferred to the "real" world, a world without magic or god.

The latest episode brought up something I hadn't thought of: it indeed *didn't* make sense that Naomi was killed merely be getting a drill to the skull.

Yeah. Something like that will mess up a vessel, but angels should be totally immune to long-term negative effects from conventional weapons.

Also, extremely delayed... But some of the bits of dialogue from the Scooby episode was classic:

Dean: How do I look?
Sam: Two-dimensional.
Dean: Perfect!

Yeah I think they are doing a spin off with more scooby/supernatural eps.

Latest episode was quite good. Now it makes more sense how Gabriel ended up captured by Asmodeus. Also was cool to see the real Loki.

Everytime I see an angel hurt I think back to Castiel's first appearance.

Oh you mean where they literally threw everything at him save for the colt and an angel blade and it did nothing? Yeah...

Remember when punching an angel in the face used to hurt a humans hand? And it was like punching metal? Now they just wail on the f*ckers without even a bruised knuckle.

Hell I remember when Demons could switch bodies through physical contact lol.

Calling it now, Gabe is dying and Jack might as well. Probably Mary too.

I like how getting to Mary and Jack was more important than saving Sam though. That part jolted the shit out of me. I think the writers just gave up there, that entire sequence was lazy as shit.
