I know Hokuto Shinken is a walking plot device but it should be unable to affect undead opponents?

Harald has a very strong curse spell on him and his crew.

Kenshiro is mortal from what I recall in those FOTNS movies.

Thor survived his encounter with Harald due to being magically protected, having a crazy constitution, and being extremely long lived.

Kenshiro would die the minute he punched Harald, because of the curse that surrounds him and his filthy crew.
