Magneto is my favorite Marvel villain. While I enjoyed both McKellen and Fassbender in the role as they're both solid actors, really looking forward to what Disney/Marvel can do with this icon.
Casting will be key. Stephen Lang is a decent actor and has the look of an older, yet still extremely physically capable man, could be a good fit.

i think fox selling out to disney was a huge mistakedisney is not going to greenlight rated r movies, it's going to be more family friendly, cuddling bullshit... 😬
fox should have kept going with rated r comic movies, they had success with them 😬
They'll likely setup Fox as it's own branch, eg like Pixar. So it's very possible they'll allow R-rated films out of Fox still, especially is the $$$ is there like in Deadpool (which totally didn't flop).
They already said they'd probably continue some R rated movies like Deadpool.

What sucks about this is that unfortunately there's going to be a very human cost here.
Sounds like Disney will be scaling back a lot of stuff about Fox's infrastructure, and thus a lot of people will lose their jobs.
Also there's something eerie and potentially damaging about Disney owning such a large percentage of the entertainment industry now.
Don't get me wrong I'm as excited about X-Men and FF4 coming to the Marvel universe as the next guy, but there are downsides to this, potentially huge ones.

Likely nowhere near as good as either casting?
