Honestly? Doesn't bother me much. If there's nothing to work toward in the game, it'll get boring quick, which was one of my main issues with EABF1. Back with Lego Star Wars, you had to play countless hours to unlock some of the most expensive characters, like the Force ghosts. The reward for unlocking is always enjoyable for me, too.
My main concern is the amount of credits you win each match. It seems like you get credits per the amount of time in the match, not the amount of enemies you kill / objectives you secure. That's annoying, but will hopefully be fixed in future updates.

Unfortunately, they don’t care. EA was voted the worst company in the world but it didn’t hurt their sales and they still made tons of money. This is going to be similar. Tons of people online are going to complain, but it’s ultimately irrelevant as they are such a small percentage. And EA will make exuberant amounts of money of their bullshit pay2win progression system.
