You know, Celebs and sex scandals are nothing new

Lol...Seal has now been accused of groping his neighbor. If this is true I don't get why he went after Oprah like he did, but then he wouldn't be the first guy to try to do this and then get called out for shadiness.

And? As has been pointed out to you, "they" are not "us." There is no "you guys" here, because I never cosigned their position. I never supported it and I still do not support it. I am being entirely consistent here. This is you trying to foist their position on me, so you can call me a hypocrite, and declare a pretend victory.

Why bother, he'll do his clown show as expected, grouping everyone together regardless of specifics and context, especially if he can tie some "lefttist" spin.

Everyone except for Trump of course, the man who openly admitted to being a sexual predator on a tape recording. He gets the free pass.

Lol, you've done the same thing to conservatives and trumpers. Get over yourself and remember:

That is another Surtur lie and you're a well documented liar on KMC. Fact: I've condemned guys like Weinstein and guys like Bill O'Reilly just the same, sport

Lol nope, you've grouped together conservatives and trumpers, etc. before in the same way you're whining about now.

She said, "Blue balls" on CNN news? That's interesting...

Not sure that was a 'naughty word/phrase' ever? They're saying "shit" and I think "pussy" as well on the news.

But she's correct, the people who throw out these clearly not sexual assaults [by the "victim's" own wording it's not] only damage the legitimate cases and victims. As certain unscrupulous types will quickly jump to lump them all together regardless of context and mitigate the real issues.

Here’s the Full Email the Writer of Aziz Ansari Piece Sent Insulting HLN’s Ashleigh Banfield

"After HLN asked Way to appear on the network to discuss her views, Way summarily responded in the negative, and Babe editor Amanda Ross sent Business Insider the full text of that response. In it, Way called Banfield “someone I’m certain no one under the age of 45 has ever heard of” and said she “hope[s] the ~500 RTs on the single news write-up made that burgundy lipstick bad highlights second-wave feminist has-been feel really relevant for a little while.”

“I will remember this for the rest of my career — I’m 22 and so far, not too shabby! And I will laugh the day you fold,” Way added."

Lol@ "not too shabby!" Is this satire? I can't even tell. These are actual adults intent on being taken serious, I guess?

These scandals are nice and all, but it never should have reached this boiling point in the first place.

Imo, the fact so much muck came out all at once, proves the muckrakers just aren't there anymore. All the watchdog/whistleblower/dirt crusaders were probably long since driven out, and all you have is the yes men, shills, and spineless toadies.

Or, in cases of someone that can't be silenced/driven out... well, remember Michael Hastings "tragic accident"?

Props for using the word "muckrakers".

I love the term.

But they're all definitely forced into the closet.. Was reading a Huffpo opinion piece from a professor at a community college, headlined "The myth of the liberal campus". I roll my eyes at a "debunking", skim it, then start to slow down as she brings up statistics about the vast majority being underpaid, untenured adjuncts and student teachers working between up to FOUR universities, at one time. All in fear of being terminated at the drop of a pin.

The story "should" have been the horrendous working conditions at universities. I believe she was forced to bury the lede, to get that message out.

That's not a good sign, if one believes the point of news is to inform, first, and make money second (Yes, it's a business. But no one should profit from deception. Nazi Germany should have made this point clear..)

Oh, yeah. I remember seeing ABC's Bob Woodruff got hit by a roadside bomb in 2006?

He wasn't really a muckraker but he was certainly in the middle of the shit trying to report it.

Anyways, I think Stan Lee was already mentioned. He's like 95 though. I am not saying age can give you a pass, but I do wonder if he's legit suffering from dementia or just a pervy old man.

French Actresses and the French media have really taken a very different approach to this to most other nations. In some ways a more common sense approach.
