What I said absolutely demolished the narrative you were pushing, like two fist up the ass demolished; it's why you're now Moving the Goal Post to "but it will cost more than voting!".But to respond to that goal: So?
My "narrative" involved all rights being taxed, you mentioning that 1 right has a couple small fees doesn't demolish anything. unless you're under the impression that we only have those two rights. are you under that impression?

You have to show me a valid reason why other rights should be taxed. You've not done that. You're flopping about, grasping.
So some 20 yr old in Oregon is suing Dicks Sporting Good and Walmart for "age discrimination".
Oh btw, has what has been going on in Seattle been mentioned yet?
"The new “red flag” law, which has taken hold in other states already, allows the courts and law enforcement to take away guns from individuals they deem are dangerous and they’ve just begun the confiscation. A man living in the Belltown neighborhood of Seattle, Washington became the first individual in the state to have his firearm confiscated without any formal arrest or charges. The man was not identified by authorities.
Neighbors complained that the man had been “staring” at people through storefront windows while wearing a holstered firearm. He was not brandishing his weapon by any account, and open carrying is legal in the area, so he was abiding by the law. Other residents also complained that the man’s open carrying made them feel “uncomfortable” and “unsafe.”
“He was roaming the hallways with a .25 caliber automatic,” said Tony Montana, a man who lives in the same apartment complex as the gun owner and a person without any reasonable gun knowledge. Handguns are semi-automatic.
These lousy complaints from neighbors allowed police to use the newly passed state law to confiscate the man’s firearm because the man apparently stared at others. Maybe there’s a ban on staring at others in Washington we are unaware of. Under the extreme risk protection orders — also referred to as “erpos” or “red flag laws” — police (government officials) are now allowed to violate a person’s Second and Fourth Amendment rights (which are basic fundamental human rights) and take their legally acquired personal property if they are tattled on by offended liberals."
Okay I'll bite & play the naive Non American...
I'm not talking about your right to own a gun but what the hell is the purpose of open carrying a gun in public?
You strap that gun on with the intention to go out in public & your entire perspective changes...you're kinda looking for any excuse to be the new sheriff in town.
Y'know because if you're peering through storefront windows, staring at strangers you're kinda hoping for matters to escalate & justify carrying that gun in the first place.
Meanwhile southwest of Cleveland an 8 yr old boy shoots his 4 yr old sister. The rifle & numerous other firearms were under lock & key but the boy knew where the key was kept.
And not one single gun related shooting, death or crime was committed Down Under this week.

You can argue the merits of open carry, that isn't what I'm doing. The point is some places have such laws where you can do so.
Actually, the larger point is that you wonder why people don't want to be forced to register guns, when we already have some places pulling shit like this. A law abiding citizen did nothing wrong and yet was punished. For staring at people?
More states are talking about enacting similar laws like what allowed Seattle to do this. Even if you don't get open carry, surely you can get why this would disturb people? This just seems like it could be abused, assuming it already hasn't been.
Maybe it is just me, if someone is carrying a gun...I'd rather know.
The thing in Cleveland sounds tragic. If people are going to lock up their firearms maybe use something where you can quickly punch in a 4 digit code to open it? No key for the kid to find.
