It's easy to blame the father here, but why was he given the guns in the first place? We're they purchased and registered to him?

Well that is what is weird. The father didn't own them. The cops let him have them because he was legally allowed to own guns and the father asked for them.
Which is weird. Either there is a law that failed or the cops messed up. It's hard to imagine you can confiscate guns from someone and then let a family member have them.

To be clear I feel the guy is a hero and I have no problem with him being given time on tv to showcase that. But it's blatantly obvious why this is being done lol. I looked at her tweet. I read some of the responses. There was a lot of praise. The people who dared call her out were given excuses like "well, those other countries don't have them as often!" which is *not what she said*.
So not only is she willing to spread false information and not correct it, but there are others out there willing to cuck for her even when confronted with her giving out false information.
But hey they suffered a tragedy blah blah blah so now they're gun experts.
The article says that he attacked "When the gun jammed or whatever happened". I don't think people can reliably count on these shooter's guns jamming.
BTW, I think that father should be looked at and maybe charged, since he knowingly gave guns to someone whose right to own guns was revoked due to an earlier arrest.

Like notice how the left immediately swiveled from "a good guy with a gun can't stop someone with something as powerful as an AR-15" to "I guess we don't need guns because a good guy can just charge the bad guy with the gun unarmed!" It's really absurd.
Like this argument is completely bereft of logic lol. Because someone did a heroic thing by charging a bad guy with a gun unarmed, therefore the argument that good guys such as that should have access to guns which would be more effective at stopping a shooter are null and void?
Also, if we're taking the position that you don't need a gun to just charge a guy with an AR-15... then doesn't that undermine the entire point of "WE GOTTA DO SOMETHING"?
