“Because of faulty research, it is widely believed that a disproportionate share – 31% – of the world’s mass public shooters occurred in the United States,” said Professor Paul Rubin, Samuel Candler Dobbs Professor of Economics, Emory University. “In fact, John Lott’s careful analysis of a very large data set – 437 – pages – shows that the proper number is about 2%, less than the U.S. share of world population. One can only hope that this important research will correct the record.”

That's disengenuous because it's not just mass shootings and norway is skewed by one man, Brevik within that timeframe, who of course is the poster boy for far right shootings the IS has a problem with and Norway of course like many there is not in the EU. You would also need to take Europe as a whole it's like if I cherry picked Chicago, Miami and Detroit. Serbia of course has weapons left over from the war... Then we have all the places in Europe which are very low. If I picked when the Troubles were going on the UK would be skewed like Norway. Northern Ireland where guns are still in circulation still skews it.

Heh, "disingenuous".... riiiiight. You remind me of the guy "Glen" whose reply is at the top of the comments of that article. He basically disputed undeniable facts right in front of him lol.

The thing is, even if the article really were disingenuous and you (and "Glen"😉 were actually right about USA being the leader in the world's mass shootings it still wouldn't matter. As I've stated so many times in the past, nothing justifies doing away with Americans' 2nd amendment right to bear arms... NOTHING.

so you're not going to answer my question as to who you think guns protect you from...

I literally gave instances where guns could protect people. Robberies, home invasions, etc.

In other words: criminals.

And don't go "oh but the cops". Remember they are awful and racist and stuff.

Man shot, killed by homeowner during alleged home invasion in Anderson Co.

CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Kentucky homeowner exchanges gunfire with intruders

Remeber, when seconds count the police are minutes away.

Alabama McDonald's gunman killed by armed dad, who is injured in shootout

Man who shot back at Kroger shooting suspect has been identified

So that's it, huh? Only legit rebuttal you can think of, eh? So you agree with 93% of my point. That's the same as almost directly agreeing.

I certainly do apologize that the facts are getting in the way of your narrative.

Naaaaaah. Not sorry. grouchoawe

U gotta admire how any talking point that goes against them is just...well, disingenuous or cherry picking.

I gotta ask, why are these people so retarded? Bombarded with radiation on the way to school as a child? Just born stupid? What happened?

Or is it they know they spout bullshit but do it anyways? Like a televangelist?

Why not just put the total number of mass shootings per country?

Frequency of mass shootings per million people is possibly the most useless and pointless statistic I've ever seen in relation to mass shootings.

Yea, because it goes against your narrative.

I'm sure if the numbers supported their claims they'd be just as against it. They are so consistent that way.

I'm sure this is the point where you'll tell me what my narrative is.

So you don't agree with this idiotic shit? Props. Good to know this is not a narrative you subscribe to 👆

So now someone else is telling me what my narrative isn't.

👍

By all means: correct whoever interpreted your narrative wrong, while stating your actual narrative.

It's always funny watching them argue that facts don't matter.

Remember what retarded AOC said: "I feel people are too concerned with being factually correct and not enough with being morally right" or some shit along those lines lol. As if her socialist ideology is actually morally right.

I already did.

Meaningless and pointless statistics are meaningless and pointless.

Can anyone seriously argue that Norway has a bigger problem with mass shootings than the United States?
