an issue I actually care about: saving black men from violence.
You disgust me.

Wanting to save them from themselves? Admirable.

FBI Is Investigating Pensacola Shooting As Terrorism

On Saturday, the FBI identified the shooter as Mohammed Alshamrani, a 21-year-old second lieutenant in the Royal Saudi Air Force. He was a student naval flight officer of Naval Aviation Schools Command. -snip

Rojas would not confirm reports that the shooter showed videos of mass shootings at a dinner party the night before the attack, and had posted tweets shortly before the shooting in which he called the U.S. "evil" and quoted Osama bin Laden. -snip

The FBI identified the weapon used in the shooting as a Glock 45 9mm pistol that had been purchased legally. -snip

Three sailors were killed on Friday in the shooting, and eight others were injured. -snip

Guess it turned out to be three dead victims and not four as originally thought, that's good.

^ I heard something about him being mad about people poking fun at his mustache. Calling it a "porn stache" or something, and that's why he did it. And of course Saudis would likely be very conservative about such things. *shrug*

If it's good enough for Vegeta in DB GT it's good enough for a terrorist.

There was an active shooter in New Jersey today

Sounds too ridiculous to be the thing that drove him over the edge, but who knows.

Unless the claims are wrong, he seemed radicalized with the Osama Bin Laden fanboyism.

I agree that it seems far-fetched to be the single motivating reason. Seems like there must be something else going on.

Maybe that's just the "official story"...

I dunno, I once read a story about a dude who farted at a party and people laughed at him. So he left and came back and stabbed multiple people, killing at least one.

Not that I believe this happened cuz his mustache got made fun of.

Sure, I mean anything is possible, but it just seems there'd have to be some pre-existing psychopathology or ideology to cause such a severe reaction (in either case).

His first mistake was not owning the fart. If it was loud or smelly, claim it. Be proud.

It's the difference between confidence and security.

While not a mass shooting(3 dead including the shooter) it is still awful and we don't really have a non-mass shootings thread:

Man shoots and kills 2 inside a Texas church before parishioners fatally shoot him

Thank you to the good guys with the guns who kept the body count from going above 2. Texas passed a law earlier this year allowing people to carry firearms into places of worship. While we will never know for sure, it seems like a safe bet to say that the body count would be higher without that law.

So shame on the people like Joe Biden who came out against the law.

Allow?

When was there a law against it? Laws aren't supposed to allow anything, they're supposed to be very narrow restrictions within the framework of the constitution.

People should have always been able to carry in churches.

Six dead in a shooting at a brewery in Milwaukee

God damn.

Hopefully Sanders, Warren or Buttigeig wins, they'll declare a "national emergency" on gun violence and use the extraordinary special powers granted to the POTUS in such an event to revamp our gun laws into more sensible ones.

We need murder control.

Wow that is sounds nice.
