It's not just Brexit that shows how retarded the British are.
I mock America often and rightly so, often it gives me a good reason too, as do the Americans themselves, passportless, often fat uncultured fans of Eminem that they are. However, I admire many things American as well, I can't think of many to list right now, but I can think of one - Freedom, It costs a buck O 5. Nowhere any red blood American of any colour, creed or sexual persuasion would roll over for this like the folks in the UK have. They would have got out there guns, climbed in there 4X4's pickups and pimpmobiles and taken it straight to Washington. Even the guys and gals in the South hiding in their anti-big Government Bunkers would have started bombing campaigns and more power to them. The right and the left would have joined forces and the sky would have fallen hallelujah.
But not in the UK, the people bent over like Bitches and took it a full 12 inches deep. (even Raisen would have put up more of a fight, although he may have pushed back.)
1984 UK style.
The Investigatory Powers Act, passed on Thursday, legalises a whole range of tools for snooping and hacking by the security services unmatched by any other country in western Europe or even the US.
The security agencies and police began the year braced for at least some opposition, rehearsing arguments for the debate. In the end, faced with public apathy and an opposition in disarray, the government did not have to make a single substantial concession to the privacy lobby.
US whistleblower Edward Snowden tweeted: “The UK has just legalised the most extreme surveillance in the history of western democracy. It goes further than many autocracies.”
Only the Queen is fighting it and as a republican that sickens me.
