Ahsoka stalemated Maul on a nexus and was authoritatively placed above him.
That it was Rebels Maul and not TCW Maul is irrelevant untill someone can prove
A, Rebels Maul declined
B. TCW Maul is better than Rebels Maul by enough to make up for whatever gap there is between Ahsoka and Maul.
The first one is going to be especially troublesome to prove because the only relevant evidence on the matter implies Maul to have improved rather than decreased. However, even if you ignore that on the faulty premise that authors don't have the creative license to choose how they want to portray something which doesn't contradict the lore(Maul improving after TCW isn't contradicted by the slightest shred of evidence), the onus is still on people arguing for Maul here to prove Maul declined. That proof can't be an absence of evidence.
And no, a quote which doesn't even mention Maul's combative abilities and is specific to a nexus doesn't supersede a direct authoritative statement regarding Ahsoka's on even ground.
As it stands though, Maul > Ahsoka, much like religion, is based on wishful thinking rather than actual evidence.
