Dr Doom Standalone film...

Well, I doubt they had any plans on doing anything before the MCU wrapped up its current phase in anyways, so there is still a bit of a window to churn out more films/tv shows.

He finished the script but still wants to tweak it. He'll get back to it after the movie he's currently directing. Good to hear Marvel is making this happen. If there's any villain from any comic book universe who should get his own movie, it's Doom.

Who knows if it’ll get greenlit if Disney acquires Fox.

Hawley is an amazing writer but if this gets done before a potential Disney merger I’d be surprised

Well, he has chops, and I do like the sounds of it being inspired by Winter Soldier. That's still in my top 3 favorite MCU films.

As long as the studios let Doom BE DOOM then it's gonna be awesome. If they try to **** with his origin/characterizations too much as they have 3 prior times....then he's gonna suck again.

Been reading the script for this is almost done but the film itself is being held up because of the Disney/Fox merger.

This movie is still in Limbo, Despite Noah Hawley meeting with Kevin Feige about it.

Feige alone needs to determine the fate of this film.

I would like to see it happen but if it doesn't...oh well.

It needs to align with their post phase 3 plans.

A Villain stand-alone MCU movie?....I don't know, don't think so. Would be cool though, to get villain movies.

That's what DC thought about suicide squad.

Or maybe that movie itself was handled badly.

If anything is executed correctly it can work.

I hope so. I haven't particularly liked any of the live action portrayals of Dr Doom but that's more because the movies and scripts were poor. Toby Kebbel and Julian McMahon are both very good actors.

The MCU is on a historic run but they can surely nail Doom. I do not particularly care for the character and and more interested in Galactus and the Silver Surfer but in time we will know for sure. I do not want to wait another ten years for the next big MCU throw down but good things come to those who wait.

Well most post endgame stuff is a mystery at this point. With the acquisition of more character rights who knows who they'll bring into the mix. Plenty to choose from street level to God level. I hope they keep the mix of almost political action thriller ala Winter Soldier to massive Sci-Fi spectacle ala IW. It's a testament to the writing of Cap A's character that he's fitted into both those style of movies so easily. .
