Snoke was pulling an illusion the entire time somehow. He's not dead; at least not spiritually.

There`s many reasons why the Emperor not having a backstory in the OT still worked for it.

It`s not the same here with Snoke. They handled it poorly imo.

I agree. Palpatine not having a backstory made sense as the universe was still "new" at the time and he fit within it.

However, since Snoke isn't that powerful and frankly isn't all that relevant to the film I'm actually fine with the films not providing a backstory for him. He's just some scrub that learned some scraps from Vader or Palpatine.

Snoke will the equivalent of one of the "Dark Lords" within Kaans brotherhood but for Vader and Palps time.
