Darth Vader, according to the Visual Dictionary

From 1998 (before the prequels).

Once regarded as mad human wreckage, with the increasing favor of the Emperor Vader has risen in power and influence to become a much-feared military commander. Grand Moff Tarkin was once of the few who recognized Vader's capabilities in spite of his bizarre appearance and eccentric conduct, and as Tarkin's right-hand man Vader attained a new level of respect amongst the upper echelons of the Imperial military.

So he is Tarkin's b1tch. Makes sense.

Wow

Which visual dictionary?

This? http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Star_Wars:_The_Visual_Dictionary

Yeah. I own this and this isn't in there

I mean, about 5 hours ago I literally just opened up that book, read the paragraph in question, then typed it into KMC, so obviously it is.

It's on the page for Darth Vader that is titled differently than other pages.

Anyway, everyone is missing out the point of the thread. I just thought it was interesting to see how Vader was portrayed before the retcons.

mmm

Aside from when the Banite Sith were in hiding, has there ever been a non-Force sensitive in a Sith-controlled Empire who has held political power over a Sith more powerful than Revan before?

It may be hard to find in the scan, but it's the text that's highlighted, circled, and pointed to.

You remind me of those Japanese soldiers stranded in the Pacific islands who didn't find out World War II was lost until 60 years later.

Watch your tongue kiddo, you're speaking to one of the founders of the Anakin movement. You should be honored.
