SSJBKK Goku was able to damage merged Zamasu. Why he didn't use the KK prior to that is anyone's guess. 😕

Vegeta and Trunks fought merged Zamasu. Goku overpowered him in a weakened state. Fresh Goku would stomp black, easily.
