Dragon Ball Super: Broly - Discussion Thread

Still can't believe how bad this movie sounds. I would not recommend anyone to watch it.

I think it's still worth watching for the amazing animation.

Even if the plot is simple and nonsense power levels, I would still watch it for it's amazing animation.

Can't wait to watch it, but will have to wait for blu-ray release. No cinema release here.

No.

Spoiler:

Goku states that Broly is the most powerful opponent he has EVER fought, and even goes so far as to say that he might even be more powerful than Beerus.

So no, Broly is definitely more powerful than Jiren... By a substantial margin.

Honestly, that tells me that

Spoiler:
Beerus could be above Broly, and is confirmed to be above Jiren.

Frieza's durability shames everyone else's.

Somebody said Gogeta vs Broly is 20+ minutes long...

So it goes on way too long and gets boring. Anakin vs Obi Wan.

Can't wait for this amazing movie.

Yeah. Sounds like the Beerus thing was kind of left open either way... Which is just ludicrous.

Though I would imagine that

Spoiler:
SSB Gogeta is beyond him for sure.

No joke.

Spoiler:

SSJ Broly stomps the bejesus out of SSB Goku and SSB Vegeta effortlessly, to the point where each of them can barely even move, just before Goku ITs them from the field.

...Then Freeza endures a beating from that same Broly for like an hour without dying. His raw durability has always been greater than anyone else's in the franchise(pound for pound), but this is just incredible.

Incredible is one word for it. Not the word I'd use.

Mr. "durability" didn't didn't look so hot against Toppo, Trunks, noob blue Goku,

Spoiler:
but sure he lasts an hour against someone stronger then Jiren
. Why not.

So are you *just* going to troll, or..?

Because I can assure you that it will not be tolerated here like it was in the DBS thread.

The only one getting personal and off topic, is you,

I'll express my opinions as I see fit.

Having an opinion is one thing, but you're overtly trolling. I know it, you know it, everyone here knows it. So please just stop. It's simple.

I can guarantee you that a discussion with the 'admins'(yes, I saw the post before you edited) won't go in your favor... So just quit while you're ahead. 👆

You're the one gushing about Freeza's durability, while ignoring how bad that writing really is. Forgive me for calling a spade a spade, but I'm not impressed.

Nor am I impressed by "20 minute fights", if that's true. One of the worst scenes in Revenge of the Sith was Anakin and Obi Wan, which went on far too long, was mind numbingly boring, pointless, poorly choreographed..

Cdtm is a quan level troll.

Also

Spoiler:
Frieza is only fighting an SSJ version of Broly not full power so what he says is moot point.

Only if

Spoiler:
Broly is weaker then everyone else that crushed Freeza in the past.
Which he is not.

Going by simple Logic everyone is more powerful then they were at TOP.

Not sure how can you compare Current Frieza to his much weaker versions.

For a series as inconsistent as DB Frieza has proven to be a high durability character. Given how copy paste status are all over board in this series it does stand out as a rare trait.

Kind of. Being able to breath in space and survive in pieces makes him look like a monster.

Otoh, he also gets roughed up relatively easy, for an apex villain. Newbie SSJ Goku and Blue both had his number. He was one shot a few times, by Trunks and Goku (Though weakened in the second case.) And in the ToP, he only looked good against small fry, and a very weakened Jiren.

Overall, I can see the Deadpool reputation, but the fact is he's never really shown the capacity to stand against someone nearly at his level. Much less someone that's supposed to be the strongest thing ever BEFORE he reach's his Apex form.

And Estacado, that "stronger after the ToP" excuse only works if someone's a Saiyan. Goku and Vegeta narratively became stronger.

-Freeza goes from being WEAKER than he was on Namek, to being roughly on par with n00b-SSB Goku... Just by training for a couple months.

-Freeza then goes from being on par with n00b-SSB Goku, to being identically matched with SSB Goku just before the ToP... This is a Goku who had trained in the RoSaT for THREE dayS/yearS, and had received multiple zenkais from his battles in the U6v.s.U7 Tournament, and the Zamasu arc... Yet Freeza was able to increase his power by the same degree just by *thinking* about fighting Goku while he was bound in hell(he didn't even have to physically train.)

-Freeza then has some of the most intensive fights of his life during the ToP, and has had an undisclosed amount of time since the ToP to further bolster his powers in this film, yet I'm to think he has just inextricably...Plateau'd here? Give me a break.
