Gregor Clegane vs Jaime Lannister

Season 7 zombie Gregor. Season 1 Jaime. Both are wearing their armor and are equipped with their swords. The fight is to the death.

Who wins and why?

Jaime has the skill and speed but Gregor has the strength and durability. All it would take is one hit from Gregor to end the fight.

If Jaime knows about what Clegane is going in then he wins much more often than he would with no knowledge

What did Jaime do in season 1 people feel show he was so skilled? I remember he fought Ned Stark(not in his prime) until his men stepped in. He was certainly skilled in pushing children off towers though.

Beating Ned is not really an accomplishment. Ned was a mediocre swordmans at best. Ned’s true strength is his tactical prowess.

True. And other than that we have Rob Stark who claims he didn't think he could defeat Jaime. Another person who wasn't some awesome fighter lol.

Clegane is a brute.

Jaime is a smart combatant and a fast one.

If the Viper almost killed him, Jaime will slaughter him.

He was considered one of the best swordman in the realm. Due to this he was quicky made Kingsguard. In fact if am not wrong, Jaime was the youngest person to become a Kingsguard.

Becomig a Kingsguard requires ample training and knowledge. Jaime clearly was smart enough to quicky achieve the title of King's protector.

Besides, Sandor was able to withstand and counter the Mountain. Jaime is faster and a better swordsman than Sandor.

So, nothing we actually saw him do on screen.

Jaime shit stomps him harder than Viper did.

Gregor stomps rahter easily. He is a zombie. The Viper used posion, Jaime has nothing like this. Yes he is faster and skilled, he stalemated Ned in Season 1 but needed his man to interfer to get the "win". He will hit Gregor and if he is luck to find a spot in the armor he might even do some little damage but he will tier and he will get hit and all it needs is one hit for Gregor.

I think we're mixing book and show canon here. Ned is described as a great duelist in the show, but Jaimie lacks the "zomg one of da best evar" accolades that he has in the books so who knows?
