I think that could solve the direct financial issue, but the psychological cost of unemployment may cut deeper than that.
What would humans do if they did not have to work?
Personally, I enjoy my job. I like coming to work and doing the things and resolving the roadblocks and problems. I also enjoy the strategizing stuff.
I believe that I stated that I would work myself out of a job, too...so I should consider what I will do in 30-40 years.

If it's voluntarily, most people would be OK. But not being able to find a job may mess with people's heads. Maybe they would adapt, but maybe they would start scapegoating and causing havoc.

It seems like your work is technology related?
I fantasize about automation-induced job loss quite a bit. I'd love to play a part of implementing it, and it's a big reason why I'm taking comp sci classes.
I hate simple-minded people who lack the ability to problem-solve, adapt to their evolving surroundings, or otherwise survive in this new "idea-based" economy.
I legitimately want these people to die off as they're holding back the progression of humanity.
As if I don't sound silly enough, I would say I somewhat align with the beliefs of the Planetside 2 faction "The Vanu Sovereignty" in that humanity can only evolve through technological pursuits made possible by suppressing our "animal" instincts through extreme self-discipline.
So yeah. I'm currently in the process of designing a piece of equipment to automate the sorting process in a niche market.
Adapt or die is the motto to live by.

Does it work like the time machine they used in Napolean Dynamite?

^ The weird and ever expanding excuses this incel uses to avoid even trying to talk to women.
I am a full-time college student. Unlike what I presume you did, I'm attending to increase my market value (albeit marginally) and gain entry to law-school. Indulging in the traditional college-student activities have never appealed to me, and as an introvert, I'm very selective about who I choose to share my thoughts with and spend time around.
I have never had any issues attracting women throughout high-school. Believe it or not, Robby, some people actually choose NOT to spend energy on trivial pursuits with very little to offer.
Put that empathy you claim to possess so much of to use and understand my rationale.
Please try to convince me why talking to women in hopes of getting my d1ck wet would benefit me in a rational way.

Hook+Line+SinkerThat aside, it's law school now. What is the plan there, what legal field?
