Pope Accuses Clergy Sex Abuse Victims Of Slander

The Catholic Church is a joke. The pope is a slimey piece of shit IMO.

Not a fan of them myself, but this Pope has been a vast improvement over previous Popes on several fronts, one of them being he acknowledges that the Church has a problem with[some] Priest being sexual pedo predators.

What he said isn't unreasonable though, if true; that there is no evidence at all:

"The day someone brings me proof against Bishop Barros, then I will talk,” Francis told ADN radio before celebrating mass near the Chilean city of Iquique. “But there is not one single piece of evidence. It is all slander. Is that clear?" -snip

Though the story earlier implied that the Church was aware of the Bishop's transgressions/abuses and took their usual limpwristed action. So I'm torn here.

I'm not gonna speak in defense of the Vatican, but there are some people part of the Catholic church who are wonderful human beings, such as my uncle who's a priest, and my Great Aunts who are Nuns.

Reading up more on this, does seem like the Pope ****ed the dog right in the ass here. Considering the Church's problems with sexual abuse, considering the multiple accusers going back 30+ years and considering the apparent credible proof back in 2011.

I once believed in Christianity and respect the faith after i become atheist, but Church is going down this days...

You gotta give the Pope some credit, though, he IS learning and adapting to modern changes...
