Mangog is a creature that now feeds on the hubris of Gods and their indifference. He has returned, and is stronger than ever. It's like Apokolips fighting Hunter Prey Doomsday, except Doomsday gets stronger the more depraved the denizens of Apokolips are. Just a bad combo.

Aaron designed him as literally the ultimate judgement of the Gods.

Apokolips. Too much uber tech to rely on. Plus, Darkseid at his height of power is beyond Odin.

I think the average Gods from Asgard are above the average denizens of Apokolips, However, Apokolips should be far bigger and wins by sheer numbers.
