Thanos said Thane didn’t know how to correctly use the power, in the sense he didn’t know what he could achieve with it not that he couldn’t use the PF might.

He was not capable of utilizing its power to the best of its abiloties. Which is y he was beaten so easily.

Quire had part of the PF which was inside the egg which Thane stole. The writer simply ignored that and used the full PF. The witches sense that the PF is in their presence before banishing it.

Whether people like it or not due to continuity etc, the story makes it clear several times Thane has the full PF.

Whether it was full or not is inconsequential. He was a novice. The exact same thing happenend when the Hood had the infinity gems. Yea he possessed uber power. But he was a child-like in its use.

Yea its great that Thanos beat him. But people are really upselling that win like it was a great thing

It was a great thing.

The power he had was still great, that’s the reason Thanos mocked for his lack of guile whilst using it.

Hood is a mere Human, using him gaining power is a poor comparison. Thane is a inhuman crossed with being a child of Thanos.

Just like you’re trying to undersell it. Put it this way noob users with only 1 fifth of the PF didn’t really do much yet got way too much credit in Avengers vs X men.

Never disputed he had great power...just an inability to use it

Thats a huge reach given that humans have the greatest potential for power over any other species in the MU

Im not, im simply accepting the context of the scene. If xyz character beat a rookie gl i wouldnt say xyz is greater than all green lanterns

The inability to use it correctly , meaningMT more than what he was doing( simply using it to gain vengeance)

It’s not a reach at all. people with actual powers ie high end mutants or the likes of Molecule man have such potential. Hood was a low lvl street gangster human with magic hood.

Poor comparison, Thanos beat some one with the full PF not a portion of it etc. A rookie or a single GL doesn’t have all of the power of the lantern core.

Did you read the comic?

😂 I could easily ask you the same question as you simply ignore on panel stuff because you don’t like or agree with.

It’s on panel , Thane and Death argued about how to deal with Thanos. He threatened her and she backed down after he told her he was the one with the power now to which she never contested.

Than didn't know how to use PF

It's evident by the way he got handled by Thanos

so you didn’t read the comic and are just trying to act like you know what happened, gotcha.

He didn’t know how handle the power in the right way.

That’s not evident at all, if you can’t handle the fact the writer believed Thanos with his power fully restored is a match for the PF that’s your problem not mine.

You are adding much more to what is actually stated.

That’s one line in the back and forth banter between the two that is given far less weight in the context of the story than you give it.
