Creeper. Seems to me to be an amalgamation of the Joker and Sabertooth.

is there a reason tooth couldn't slice through the mane...?

Adamantium Sabes makes this more interesting, he could cut the mane and the fight would likely be a draw unless BFR is on. In that case, Creeper tps him to hell and then it's lights out for Sabes.

It only seems like a weakness --- guys like Logan or Creed, with their uber regen, toughness and never-give-up attitude/indomitable will overcome attacks which are supposed to exploit their senses most of the time.

It might work on Creed, sure. But wouldn't surprise me if it didn't do much.
