Superman Vs Thor, worst beatings

This being comics, the question has to be in 2 parts:

1. Which character has taken the worst beating and lived?

2. Which has taken the worst beating and died (only to come back of course)?

Thor by far. He got slaughtered by an angry Celestial and was still awake fighting till the end.

1. Thor by far. his durability iisnt near Superman's so he definitely takes bigger beatings

2. Superman (DOS)

Whorinson has the greatest damage soak in comics.

The first one is no contest for Thor.

2) The Man Of Steel

Superman, no contest.

Death of the New Gods, he took so many beatings the Source Entity felt compelled to check him for brain damage.
