Shall we play a game?
Guess who said this:
“When we use phrases like ‘undocumented workers,’ we convey a message to the American people that their government is not serious about combating illegal immigration, which the American people overwhelmingly oppose. If you don’t think it’s illegal, you’re not going to say it. I think it is illegal and wrong and we have to change it."
Lol you guys know how Obama is always touted by the left when it comes to illegal immigration? "How can you say we don't care, Obama deported loads!".
Now I come to find out...dude counted people turned away at the border as "deportations". He was not the first president to do so, but holy shit this takes a big steamy dump all over the narrative peddled.
I mean...hell one might even say each and every leftist who has ever mentioned his deportations as some sort of shield against criticism they are lax on illegals without also listing that fact is some sort of...weasel.

Sounds like a deportation to me so it should be counted.
And Obama is likely the one that said that other quote. It's where he was successfully pandering to the right to make himself more moderate: something all presidents should try to do (reach across the aisle with an extended hand, offering friendship and common ground).
Obama was a murderous, two-faced president, for sure. But you can't knock him for trying to reach across the aisle in at worst, purely symbolic gestures.
Edit - Added the word "likely" because it was a guess and it was wrong. It was Shumer.

It's not deportation IMO if they get turned away.
Also the other quote is from Chucky Shoom Shoom.

When you go through the checkpoint, you enter the US. If you're rejected from the US, you go back to Mexico. You go from Mexicio, to the US, back to Mexico.
That's a deportation. It's not even a technicality: it's actually classified as a deportation.

Poor Shumer. Saying reasonable things but making himself and his party look like hypocrites.

I get your point, but I feel like at the very least the fact that it counts as a deportation should be made clear...that's just my opinion.

A border entry denial is also a deportation.
But not all deportations are border entry denials.
It seems clear, man. What's there to not understand?
Also speaking of illegals we have heard rhetoric on the wall from democrats that we can't have it because it will be costly and ineffective. Fair points. I'm not sure why Nancy Pelosi calls the wall immoral though. It almost seems like even if we had cheap effective wall she still wouldn't want it, but I digress...Dems in the past have said they do want some sort of barrier.
I guess I'm wondering why a wall won't work, but some other type of barrier might? If it's not a wall it would be a fence of some sort. Now...I'm no fence expert, but it feels like a fence would be easier to get over than a wall.
Also these people resist shit like e-verify. It's baffling lol. What are their border security measures? I read something about them wanting 100% drone coverage.

I just feel it's a detail that should be stated.
It was important enough for Snopes to make an entry. And you KNOW how awesome that place is.

The Deportation Term Issue sounds like another case of Changing said Definition of Word to help fit their narrative.
It reminds me more of the shit the left pulled after the Parkland shooting. Claims of "18 school shootings this year so far!" were pushed. The list was entirely problematic. It included things like: a student killing himself in the bathroom, misfires during gun safety courses, a man killing himself on school grounds AFTER school hours, and a criminal fleeing cops running onto school grounds and getting into a shoot out with cops.
So take the suicide. Yes technically it was a shooting in a school, but any adult knows damn well what the term "school shooting" conjures up, it conjures up Columbines and now Parklands. So when people see these claims of 18 school shootings, they're gonna assume we've had 18 Columbines.
Just like when most hear of an illegal being deported...they are not thinking of someone merely being turned away at the border. So yes, the distinction matters IMO. Hell even Snope knows that.
Just gonna repost this here because I found it ****ing hilarious

Totally sounds like a religion, and you make it sound like the pro-life women are heretics who have spoken out against the church.
You make it sound like they are reconciling something with their God.
