A part of me is wondering how it got to this point in the first place, though. Did someone seriously alert the police after they saw his video online? I can't imagine being that petty. If there's some bullshit on the Internet that you don't like, you can always switch it off, or alternatively, use the report button on Youtube instead of wasting the valuable time of actual law enforcement officials.

to be fair it was also technically an act of vandalism. i think a good lawyer in the US could argue that and win.
