1. As I said there are already studies saying even if we did what the accords wanted it likely won’t hsve much of an impact.
Likely anything we do will have a small impact. Humanity is super doomed, we're too far gone to reverse climate change and it's definitely gonna come and fucck us. But that doesn't mean we don't try and do our best to mitigate, manage and control the damage. Sure the Paris Accords aren't perfect, because nothing is. But just abandoning them is the same defeatist attitude I hear from conservatives who have no solutions of their own, they say just because a thing doesn't 100% solve the problem it isn't worth trying. It's the same attitude and the same ignorance that got us into this mess to begin with.
And leaving the Paris Accords is about so much more than the policies. It's a symbol of the world united. Every single major country on planet Earth has agreed to the Accords. America ditching the agreement not only sends a message of fracture but it removes us as leaders in a green future. We could be at the forefront of innovation and clean energy, but instead countries like China will rise ahead of us as global leaders. Oil and coal are not sustainable and are not the future, it makes no economic sense to focus in that area. The only reason American politicians continue to favor oil and coal is because it is politically popular in the short-term. even though it's damaging in the long-run.
Just my thoughts, disagree if you like

Bro money doesn’t grow in trees, in certain places like Cali I’m sure electric bills are sky rocketing over the fact that they ban off shore drilling etc.
This is completely unsupported and false. California energy bill might be higher, but it has nothing to do with banning of off-shore drillling. Californians are using less and less fossil fuel energy, giving them a surplus with solar batteries and roofs that naturally causes oil and coal generated power prices to go up. There's a hundred different factors that neither you or I are qualified to make a determination about.

2. Give an example of the environment actually being poisoned roll eyes (sarcastic)
Trump has already
- Revoked Obama-era flood standards for federal infrastructure projects
-Rejected a proposed ban on a potentially harmful pesticide
-Lifted a freeze on new coal leases on public lands
-Canceled a requirement for oil and gas companies to report methane emissions
-Revoked a rule that prevented coal companies from dumping mining debris into local streams
-Approved Keystone and Dakota Pipelines
- Repealed a ban on offshore oil and gas drilling in the Atlantic and Arctic oceans
- Revoked a 2016 order protecting the northern Bering Sea region in Alaska
- Repealed an Obama-era rule regulating royalties for oil, gas and coal
- Withdrew guidance for federal agencies to include greenhouse gas emissions in environmental reviews
- Announced intent to stop payments to the Green Climate Fund
- Removed a number of species from the endangered list
- Overturned a ban on the hunting of predators in Alaskan wildlife refuges
- Withdrew proposed limits on endangered marine mammals caught by fishing nets on the West Coast
- Reversed a proposed rule that mines prove they can pay for cleanup
- Withdrew a proposed rule reducing pollutants at sewage treatment plants
- Overturned ban on use of lead ammunition on federal lands
- Announced plans to rescind water pollution regulations for fracking on federal and Indian lands
- Rolled back an Obama-era policy aimed at protecting migratory birds
^ Those aren't even 25% of the damaging policies Trump is implementing, I just don't feel like typing them all out. Why are you not pissed off about this, you have to live on planet Earth too?

3. I’m Mexican American, your guilt card failed. Maybe they shouldn’t have broken the law in the first place? Maybe you should try seeing it like that.
Now you're just playing identity politics, the same thing you claim to hate. Why should your identity matter in order to have empathy?

4. You mean trump doesn’t want the gov to keep footing the bill...damn we can’t keep bankrupting ourselves! Damn you trump!
Paying for clean energy research and innovation is not a frivolous expenditure. And we spend less than 1% of our funds on that anyways, it barely costs anything. Be sensible here.
