Meh, I changed my mind. It seems surt stopped pushing the personal attack but Backfire still demanded a response. While I suppose the inital offense did break the rules, I don't personally agree with retroactive punishments. That said, it is up to Backfire. At the end of the day, how mods punish those who violate the rules are their call, and Surt did break the rules.
And I once reported people for breaking the rules, someone once made dozens of threads a day to troll me, and I sent several of PMs to moderators, each with dozens of links to threads made for the purpose of trolling me or someone else, and barely anything was done.
Also, technically anyone whose a needless dick to anyone else has broken the rules... and that ship has sailed a long time ago.
That's the thing though, the mods are so shit at enforcing the rules any other time it's bullshit that they only enforce them when they take personal offense to something.
