Aquaman VERSUS Venom

There was a reason why this message board ridiculed and abhorred Mac Gargan Venom for more or less 10 years 😉

Eddie Brock is back to being Venom now --- and he's nothing like Mac. Assuming the symbiote isn't pregnant again or anything like that, he is the most powerful version of Venom.

He even went toe to toe with the Classic Juggernaut, canon. Which was referenced in the non-usable ( biscuits ) Access DC/Marvel cross-over... when Eddie raped Superman.

Could've sworn he was mutated when he went against Jugs. Possessed with numerous of viruses that amped him.

People have been arguing over that for more than two decades.

Sam, get your ass here.

Talking to fish won't work, bro.

Not quite sure that's what I'd call a telepathic resistance feat, tbh.

Just messing with you.

Here is a nice feat, Eddie takes control of Devil Dinosaur, breaking the yellow dude's control over DD in the process:

That's a nice feat, but I have a genuine question. My assumption would be that Aquaman would go after the consciousness of the symbiote itself, not the victim/host. Does it have any defences against that?

It might sound like a stupid question, but as I said, symbiotes really aren't my forte.

I'm not sure Arthur can specifically target the symbiote itself, when it's bonded with Brock. Their connection is unusually strong. And while Brock is not Cletus, he's not actually sane either, which complicates matters further.

Called Sam, he's our resident symbiote expert.

Sorry, didn't see the Sam signal from my basement of solitude where I spend most of the day beating off to tentacle hentai porn.

Tbh I was going to post the same scans Parm's already posted. Then there's a red sonja crossover where a telepathy assault failed against the symbiote. Not sure if it's considered canon though. Also, that's just Venom. Carnage has been controled by Mr. Sinister once.

Also, Venom did fight the Juggernaut in the Madness storyline on three different occasions. He wasn't amped during those fights, just drivven insane (hence the name of the story) for a brief period of time. He lost it before the third encounter with Juggs anyway. So yeah, Venom is a beast. I've never seen the symbiotes fail to take over any character. Including heralds/hulks and even Captain motherfukin America.

My two cents. 😛

The only time I recall a symbiote actually fail to take over in "a battle of wills" if you want to call it that was a non canon symbiote failing on a non canon Doom (MF Doom we're talking about here)

Cap who resisted Quentin Quire once was taken over by a no name symbiote in Planet of the Symbiotes and Carnage who was at the same time controlling Hawkeye, Wolverine, Thing a town with 1145 (not all because some got away and formed a resistance) citizens and a Zoo (he controlled most animals too)
