No, it was just so uncharacteristic of you toward me that I thought you were doing a riff. But I'm not really surprised by anything I'm getting this week from people, and perhaps not even this month.
Anyway, you can tell me or not whether the Drax shown below is the same as the one you envisioned for this thread, or yet again a "bad" version.
Drax got changed in his own mini before Annihilation. Under DnA and Keith Giffen he was actually fairly high. More than enough to slay Spider-Man, but still below his Classic self.
He killed Lunatik and stabbed the dickens out of The Delinquent under Giffen.
I'm not aware of any real low showings, but I know they made him more like the movie. Bendis also had him do as well as expected against Gladiator, and had him do too well against Thanos (he hates Thanos though so there's that), though I'm pretty sure Bendis also assumed he was Classic Drax levels...
Drax should win

Have you read his short series? Co-wrotten by Cullen Bunn & CM Punk. He was pretty funny in that.
I haven't. The only comic I'm reading right now is Deathstroke. But I'll look this one up.

While that's the modern Drax, it's not a valid feat.
Drax was literally destined to kill Thanos, that's how he bypassed his defenses and shit.
Keep in mind, Nova treated him like an insect shortly after that event. Modern Drax is like Warpath from X-Force, nothing more... hell, I'm being generous here.

i actually started a Drax/Warpath thread that seemed even-ish, from the responses it got ...
Indeed.
Searched and found it just now.

Thanks for the response (I went through extra effort to satisfy your request in my "What is that stuff MADE of?" thread for posting this here).
I'm aware of at least one showing for Drax that seems low even if we examine his "Classic" era, which I'm presuming to be anything before around 1998.
(Can you believe 1998 is now 20 YEARS ago? There are people reading this who weren't even BORN then ... incredible to realize and re-realize that at times like now.)
