Why people wank Palpatine's lightsabre bend feat?

"Palpatine still made no move to defend himself from Skywalker; instead he ramped up the lightning bursting from his hands, bending the fountain of Mace's blade back toward the Korun Master's face."
-Revenge of the Sith

This is a metaphor meant to express how Palpatine was trying to disarm Windu with his Force lightning.

Do people really think he could actually bend a lightsabre's blade with his Force lightning?
And why is that?
And why is it impressive?
Is it stated somewhere that lightsabres can resist(and maintain their straight position) against lightning for an amount of time?

I just disproved it so hopefully they don't anymore.

I took that as the scene where Windu was being pushed by The lightning not that the blade was literally getting bent.

Exactly! That's how the movie potrays it as well.

Wait, bending an energy blade is fair game for Sheevites but I can't claim that Dooku can exceed the speed of light??

One is more plausible than the other, yes.

"My name is Dooku and I am the fastest old man alive. To the outside world, I am an ordinary Separatist Leader. But secretly, with my men at Vjun Labs, we fight corruption and find other Force-sensitive Humans like me. One day I'll find out the one responsible for the misery in the Republic and get justice for the galaxy. I am
the Count!"
-The Count

^kek.

Anyway the the feat is trash, either way.

I am gonna make a separate thread regarding Palpatine so-called 'nigh' feats.

It's still impressive to be able to overwhelm Windu like that.
