Asmodel Vs Wonder Woman

Pictured versions.
No prep, or BFR.

The Wonder Woman in the scan loses but current Wonder Woman stomps.

I don't recognize either version.

Which issue or issues are the scans taken from?

Sorry, that is current Wonder Woman. Issue number is: WONDER WOMAN #41.

Comic came out Feb 28, this yr. Got that scene mixed up with another comic. Wonder Woman stomps.

How does she stomps carter?

^^^I’d say she stomps Carter very easily. And he’d -like- it.

I think thats what you asked...🤨

Current WW, as of Justice League 42, released April 4.

Team vs solo books ;-)

So...does she stomp? I kinda got lost on that one, though now i know that pic’s definitely from WW 41!

Asmodel wins.

Asmodel shitstomps her.

Fair enough.

1. Not sure what to make of this current state of affairs.
In nearly every era I've seen her written in, Diana on JLA or team books outperforms herself as she is in her solo books; the near reverse of heroes like Superman.

2. Strange to see -- DC apparently still has a fascination with bullets and bracelets. However, it's nearly impossible to say if writers think this is actually a change. Forgotten in the minds of most people, Wonder Woman throughout the vast MAJORITY of her career, has had vulnerability to piercing weapons like arrows, swords, spears, and, yes, ordinance from guns. This seems to be the case even during the time of what is arguably her most impressive fight, the "Sacrifice" battle of Wonder Woman #219, Volume 2, where, according to the writer of that story, Greg Rucka, Diana endures the greatest force a sun-amped murderously enraged Superman can bring to bear against her.

Yet examine how many apparent cuts and scrapes Diana has even from skirmishing with comparatively mundane One Many Army Corps (OMAC) units after that issue:

Circa: February 2006

Annoying as it is to see, then, Wonder Woman's apparent vulnerability, even to ricocheted projectiles from firearms is probably nothing new.

Diana was falling to crap like that even during the eras where she went against opponents some might rank well above Asmodel.

I haven't seen much mention of Asmodel in any story that isn't at least a decade old. I'm going to assume he's fairly consistent until shown otherwise.

What was reckoned of Asmodel yesteryear was that his level of physical strength was such that Superman Blue would wrestle him to a standstill:

Some might point out that Asmodel took on Jonn J'onnz to say that he was actually above Superman Blue. However, this would be ignoring the extreme duress Jonn had to endure from his Martian vulnerability to heat; a weakness Diana does not share to any comparable degree.

Sources: JLA Paradise Lost #s 1, 2, and 3
Circa: January, February, and March, 1998

A fight that suggests how much more resistance Diana has to heat than Martian Manhunter.

Source: Wonder Woman #221
Circa: November 2005

I was gonna post saying Asmodel would stomp Diana. But then I realized I was confusing Asmodel with Invictus.

What has Asmodel done to make people think he'd beat Diana? She's been on a roll in recent years and DC has been giving her a HUGE push. I can't stand WW but she wins here.

I based this thread on the hell Asmodel raised (no pun intended) in his initial appearance.

Plus, just the touch of Asmodel would burn her:

Something that Bwr conveniently left out. Is it because he didn't know? Then he SHOULD know before commenting.

^^^Well if we only commented on what we knew, this place’d be a ghost town...
