World War Hulk vs Competent Illuminati and X-Men

World War Hulk vs Competent Illuminati and X-Men

A simple re-enactment of World War Hulk, except his opposition isn't watered down to make him look good.

They get as much prep as they did in the story.

Who wins?

Black Bolt Kills him!

The Hulk held back the entire time. Competence can only go so far with a guy that never had to warn the world of his intent. We already know that there weren't and aren't many world crushers on Marvel Earth, so which one do you suppose survives punches capable of ripping continents apart let alone planets?

PIS existed on both sides.

You ought to wash your mouth out with soap heathen.

Shadowcat keeps him phased while Reed builds something to BFR Hulk into another dimension.

(If we ignore comic logic anyway.)

I’m not sure phasing would work on a sufficiently-pissed of Hulk. You see, the Hulk is a very interesting character with a very interesting powerset that unfortunately has the worst fans and (usually) poor writers (his is why I don’t necessarily like the character, similar to the way Superman’s fans and writers also irritate me).

The Hulk’s powers are fed by rage, but they are not just resultant on strength. Strength is just what the (usually lazy) writers and the (usually silly) fans concentrate on.

However, think about this - the Hulk broke out of a holding area by breaking through glass that was tempered with chronal particles that were supposed to teleport him to a different place. It was some sort of failsafe in case the Hulk tried to escape, but he managed to somehow break through the glass without being teleported.

A sufficiently angry Hulk would be a creature remarkably resistant to attacks that should otherwise work, and if I were Shadowcar I’d definitely keep my distance to avoid the sudden realization the creature is somehow immune to my phasing abilities and it’s about to grab me.

A sufficiently enraged Hulk is something special. It’s just that the character has lazy writers and fans that (a) don’t understand the depth of the character’s abilities and like children only focus on the ‘strength,’ and (b) believe that the character can defeat anyone.

WATCH YOUR TONE WITH ME GAMMITE!!!!

Competent X-Men would still lose, and I'd be fine with that, because at least they were competent, and not retarded.

Competent?

Plan 1: Pixie teleports WWH to the sun.

Only this time, she doesn't stop.

^If i remember correctly, the first time i ever chatted with you DS was through a debate about Hulk(some version) v X-Men, or at least a competent X-Men. Ahhhh old times and a great start to a great friendship 😂

Haha indeed! AND it was when I first spoke to carv.

It was the first thread I interacted in, actually!!

Yeah i remember going like ''who is this dude??'' after getting irritated by how stubborn you were in that thread and was a little surprised to see you were a new member. Man that was 6-7 years ago...we are getting old man.

Also because of those circumstances i low key thought you were a troll sock account.

Lol I thought that was because I so obviously knew my stuff despite being new 👆

Agreed. Back then, new members usually don't last that long in a thread...and don't show the level of articulation and knowledge that isn't abused. One day we are gonna have a pint, i'll like to think you made some impact in this forum when you showed up 🙂

DS beat me to it. While I agree, there probably is a level of rage that could stop phasing, WWH hadn't reached it. Kitty just magically stopped trying...

Writer intent was to have him be unstoppable of course, but I'm staying in the spirit of the thread. Going by what we saw, Kitty could phase him while Pixie teleports Reed home to grab an anti-Hulk doohicky. It doesn't violate anything we saw on panel, and it keeps the X-Men in character.

Ignoring comic logic, a couple do it solo/duo.

Pixie tried teleporting Kuurth to the sun, just pointing out.

So Cyclops wanting to Port him there isn't THAT OOC.

I still think darksaint is a sock account.

WWH was back when Pixie was fairly innocent. It was much later when Cyclops developed his love of child mercenaries and making X's in the air.

Pr's favorite version, so I hear. 313
