Why didn't Sidious use the force to stop Ezra?

In the finale of Rebels when Sidious's hologram was goading Ezra. Why didn't he just use the force to own Ezra instead of leaving it up to his inept royal guards? Maybe it was out of his "force range"? Thats the only sense i can make out of it lol.

Lothal definitely wasn't beyond Palpatine's influence with the force:

As others have said, it just comes down to flagrant plot induced stupidity. The confines of the story forbade Palpatine from force-choking Ezra from half a galaxy away, because Ezra is how/why the good guys won.

Ezra was clearly too powerful for Palpatine

I don't really get why Palps was interested in Ezra anyway. I mean I get the whole thing with the world between worlds and time travel shenanigans(ugh). But I mean, it didn't seem like something only Ezra could figure out, since whatshisface servant was working on it too.

Especially after all of it closed down or whatever.

When you have characters that are this powerful, sometimes it's hard to create problems, because anything limiting to any normal person would be nothing to one of your characters.

This is why Force users sometimes have to forget that they have magic space powers.

Lothal is an Outer Rim world, so yeah, it's logically 45,000+ light years from the galactic core(give or take.)
