Trump has responded to NK's statements, called them warm, and left open the possibility the summit will still happen, perhaps even on the date it was originally set to happen.
We shall see.
I don't even think Trump is that great a negotiator. I do think in his mind he thought pulling out was strategy.
Like I said, we shall see. Trump got what he wanted from his decision to pull out. If this summit never takes place I'd be shocked if, in the end, it didn't boil down to NK.
As of now, if it never happens...you could say it doesn't boil down to them, even though they were threatening to pull out and IIRC canceled a scheduled meeting with South Korea. But if Trump goes "you know what, since you guys were so cordial the summit can go forth" and then NK plays the same games...we'll know they were never serious to begin with.
I'd be shocked if Trump didn't decide to go forward with it. I can't see how he could pass up the chance to look like he dominated Kim into submission and had them begging(in his mind, anyways).

Care to provide a quote?
Not finding it. I just find Trump talking about it and one Democrat being mad at Trump for cancelling:

You're not finding it likely because Squallx completely pulled that out of his ass as he often does, or he's copying something said by some retard like Alex Jones. But hey, let's give him the benefit of the doubt and see if he replies to the request.
I honestly have no doubt that what SquallX said is true. Far less abhorrent things have come out of Democrat mouths. I just can't find anything. It may not be documented on the searchable internet or is not put into a text form, yet (could just be in a vid).
The Koreas held a very sudden meeting today. Without telling anyone.
Seems like Trump f*cked it up majorly. Now they are proceeding without him.
Thanks, Trump, for making the US even less relevant. Tw*t

Don't forget Castro too. Hell Colin Kaepernick is pro Castro. What's the lefts opinion of Colin?
It is legit funny though that they hate nazis and fascists and all that, but communism and socialism are all just...great. Great things. Che and Fidel, good people. Hugo Chavez? Great guy.
The left: these school children have been killed by guns! Is this the price we pay for freedom?
The left: 100 million dead under communism? Lol they just did it wrong.

and republicans don't? Reagan and Pinochet?
It's not a party thing, it's just the predictable routine of presidents favoring what helps politically over applying american values to how they treat other countries.
They sure do. But it's Dems currently harping about dictators, running their mouths about nazis and fascists makes them look god damn foolish.
