Two things I hate when it comes about Star Wars/EU

Palpatine is basically a Dank Side Meme. I really cannot take him seriously. I find even Nihilus more interesting even if he cannot talk. 😂 And that says a lot.

A villain doesn't have to be a Mary Sue with Force powers to be a challenge for the hero.
Thrawn is a good example.

Palpatine isn't meant to be taken seriously. Just look at those faces he makes lol. He is indeed a meme legend.

It's not a story the serious character creators would tell you. It's one of Lucas' meme legends.
