Superman Vs Captain Cold

Specifically Supes’ Freeze Breath (FB) in comparison to CC’s Cold Gun.
Which is more powerful, more versatile, has the best AoE, the best pin point accuracy, etc.
One big question i have is, can/has Supes’ FB generated absolute zero like CC’s Cold Gun?

Never absolute zero, to my knowledge.

Freeze breath has contained Bizarro Superman and Phantom Zone Kryptonians at best. Usually with some other substances like water (Might have been salt water? How Cold do you have to get to freeze a big block of salt water?)

Lack of responses make me think CC has this well in hand, against Supes.

Saltwater freezes at 28 degrees or so, BTW.

So, couple things I learned:

Off site stuff.

Superman Unchained mass water freeze sounds like the feat from that Shazam toon, where he and Billy team up against Adam. Must be the same thing.

Freezing a Sun Eaters brain is news to me. Those things threatened Validus, and drained out the last of Hal Parallax's reserves. Plus, they eat suns.. I doubt they have a normal, fleshy brain.
