Why is Obi-Wan so mean?

In "A New Hope", he chops off Dr. Evanzan's arm when he could have easily mind-tricked him.

And there are a number of times in TCW we see him just being a bully to battle droids who aren't doing (and won't do) harm to anyone just for a laugh.

For a jedi master, that kind of behaviour is just...rude.

Same reason he didn't mercy kill Vader.

It's not the high ground Jedi way.

Dont forget he literally cleaved Maul in 2. Instead of just you know... stabbing him.

Dooku and Palpatine should count their lucky stars they didnt receive Obi-Wans righteous wrath.
