Wonder Woman vs Proxima Midnight (Equal Stats)

Proxima Midnight is tasked to kill Diana. Can she do it?

Rules:
-Stats equalized
-Diana has her shield and sword but can't 'godkiller-mode'.
-Proxima has her spear.

Who wins? Whose the better fighter?

Sure didn't help the Amazons that much against WW2 sailors, tho.

It's actually a hard match to call. With stats equalized this boils down to skill, and unfortunately WW doesn't exactly have that great feats against skilled opponents. On the other hand, Proxima fought against 2 skilled opponents (BW and Okoye) and got the upperhand, but it should be noted that both were physically inferior to her since both were just human.

I'm gonna go with WW for now, because she has gone through more challenges (on screen) and I trust her grit and fighting spirit more. But this can be a close match.

Firstly, I never said she didn't have feats against skilled opponents, I said her feats against skilled opponents weren't great. She struggled greatly against Ares and in the end, she didn't defeat him by using her skill. Besides, it's not like Ares was depicted as a skilled fighter either.
