Thanos was great. Maybe one day I'll get a Doctor Doom representation that doesn't suck ass.

you won't have to wait long lol.. if indeed the merger goes thru feige will be hard at work making things happen.. Doom, imo also needs a good actor to bring him to life the way he needs to be

Infinity War feels very unique. I don’t get this type of nonsense. Whedon while he hit Avengers out of the park really missed in the sequel. It wasn’t bad it just wasn’t great. Whedon admitted he didn’t even know how to approach Thanos. He didn’t know how to make him relatable which is a huge weakness as a director. I didn’t want Whedon to go anywhere near him for Infinity War and thank heavens the Russo’s were there to stick the landing.

Civil War and Infinity War had a lot of characters to work with so for these films to work means they all can’t have the same amount of screen time. The humor works and one complaint I had about Whedon is I didn’t trust him with pulling off a serious villain. Ultron though I did enjoy him was too much of a jokey bad guy. Whereas Thanos delivered by way of the Russo’s. Everyone knew he was built up for years so to actually achieve this with the high expectations isn’t something to take lightly.

All of the films they made are of high quality for the MCU. Rewatchability factor is so much higher for the Infinity War and has a much darker ending than the avengers which shows the stakes are high. The gotg and Strange interacting with Starkmis priceless. Truly great moments with Thor coming to The I’d of the heroes in Wakanda is a greater heroic moment to me than anything in Avengers one.

I agree with you about Thanos. I don't think that Whedon's Infinity War would have been as good as the Russo's version ended up being. On the other hand, I don't think that the Russos would have done as good of a job doing Avengers 1. It probably would have been perfectly serviceable, but the dialogue wouldn't have been as good, there wouldn't have been as many immediately memorable moments like "I'm always angry" or "Puny god", and overall the tone probably would have felt a lot less fresh. Avengers 1 to me felt exactly how the characters at that stage should have been, and it has a much higher rewatchability factor than Infinity War.

Whedon to me is better at characterization and team dynamics(Age of Ultron aside), while the Russos are better at recreating the feel of the comics.

yeah but the nature of the movie is supposed to cross various marvel landscapes. not just story but tone and genre. I don't think its supposed to stand on its own, imo. why would it, with the nature of it? with that said, i think it worked well. GOTG segment felt like a guardian movie. strange segments felt like a dr strange movie. even the black panther segment was like a coming back home to wakanda (since i saw it only a month prior). but i think to try to unify a tone or style would compromise the nature of each individual film. it could have been waaaayyyy worse. it could have downright be messy, imo, but i thought the russo with input from the other directors meld the tone and feel of each respective characters well.

Don't get me wrong, I really liked Infinity War. It's a great movie. I just didn't have the same overwhelming reaction to it that a lot of other fans did.

If it doesn’t Disney doesn’t acquire the rights to the fantastic four and the X-men. Let’s just hope Comcast doesn’t **** this up. Pricks.

It is up to fox. I won’t get my hopes up. I already have my Thanos so I’m fine either way. MCU hopefully will remain great with or without the newer characters. Feige knows how to steer the ship.

Alright, after thinking about it pretty hard: My top 10

1. Winter Soldier
2. Infinity War
3. Civil war
4. Guardians of the Galaxy
5. Avengers
6. Iron man
7. Thor
8. Thor Ragnarok
9. Captain America: The First Avenger
10. Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2

of course it's up to fox and by all accounts they are going over to Disney unless for some reason they turn on Disney

Lets hope so but either way I’m still happy with the MCU since it gave me Thanos my all time favorite character and the greatest film of my entire life. Hoping for the best but it is outside disney’s control. Up to those jimmies at Fox.

definitely

Man, it's crazy to think that Infinity War could end up making more than Black Panther at the domestic box office. It's outpacing it at the very least. That means it has a great shot to pass up TFA at the box office.....wow.

The GAP is shortening between Black Panther. I think with the extra competition with DP2 and Solo and Jurassic Park in a few weeks, IW may fall short of BP

Tbh Its simply retarded for me how BP could make that much money whil it was good at best, in my eyes it is the most overrated Marvel movie ever...

BP was a cultural event for many in the black community. A big reason why it made so much.

Both Wonder Woman and BP were clearly exposing gaps in the superhero market place that mass audiences had been waiting for.

I'm now hoping by some chance Infinity War will be able to outgross Titanic. Just to stick it to James Cameron and his snobby attitude.

Plus it had no actual competition for at least a month after it was released.
