Looks good and still looking forward to this. Lion King is one of my favorite Disney cartoons.

Looking forward to all the live action remakes except for Dumbo, that one I have my doubts about from the teasers we've seen. I'll still watch it though, hoping to be pleasantly surprised like I was with Beauty and the Beast, wasn't expecting much there and it was overall decent.

Sorry, but by making the animals realistic they lost their charm. They aren’t able to emote like they could in the original. Beyond that the designs are pretty awful. They are just animals. A big part of what made the original work was the stylish cartoonish nature. The biggest offender is Scar. In the original, he has a very distinct look that just oozes evil. Here he looks like a lion that’s a little grizzled. The only reason I was able to realize it was Scar was because of his lines. Also, whoever they have voicing Scar is terrible. Since this seems to be a creatively bankrupt shot-for-shot remake they should at least have brought back Jeremy Irons.
