Objectively speaking hitting a Billion is pretty normal for Disney yet still a miracle for Warner Bros. However Disney has achieved that by purchasing already huge movie studios - Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm, Pixar, Fox. Whereas WB seems more naturally built up. Their purchases were small and reasonable, like Harry Potter movie rights for first 4 films for a laughable $2million dollars. Cant find a figure but I doubt they paid much for DC comics back in 1969 or for the Lord of the Rings movie rights.
Whereas Disney just massively overpaid for Fox (80Billion), and probably put themselves in huge debt. They also paid billions for every other studio they bought.
As for MCU vs DC films, even comparing them is just kinda laughable at this point. Compare Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter in terms of impact, but not the DCEU lol
